Virginia Spoo is a 26-year-old artist with a wide variety of skills in different media. Trained in filmmaking with a B.F.A. from the Kansas City Art Institute and experienced in art design, writing, sculpture, photography, and editing. Through employing experimental and dreamlike narrative filmmaking, this artist works with earnestness and dedication to convey and contest ideas through digital media.

Virginia’s work explores stories of uncanny domesticity and themes of family and identity. She draws from literature, historical events, found objects, and the relationship with her twin sister to craft unique narrative works which straddle the autobiographical and the universal.
